Breast implant recovery and aftercare
6-7 days after breast implant surgery or after you are ready to return from your beach resort you will need to see the surgeon for a check up and have your micro stitches removed. The surgeon/doctor will teach you again how to massage your breasts and implants to reduce the risk of encapsulation (capsular contracture).
Of course Cosmedic Jetaways will escort you from your Bangkok hotel to your follow up consultation and assist you all the way.
After the operation an Elastic bandage support is wrapped around the breasts and should be worn for several days. However, if this is not convenient you can use a sports brassiere (without wire) instead.
After a few weeks when you are feeling better and have more comfort then you can start using a normal brassiere. For patients whose breasts have tendency to sag you will be recommended to use a brassiere to support your breasts as much as possible. But for trans gender patients or women whose previous breasts are quite flat, well it is encouraged that you avoid wearing a brassiere in order to promote the implants to drop and stretch the skin further.
The breast massage techniques that we will show you should be continued regularly for 6 months, 3 times a day. Each massage needs just a few minutes per session in order to keep the tissue soft and supple and promote the healing and recovery process.
It is important to note that new breasts will not look natural immediately because the skin over the breasts and implants has never been stretched before and needs time to adjust naturally. However after a few weeks the breasts will start to look better and it can normally take a few months before they look completely natural and at their best. However don't worry as none of this is noticeable beneath clothing.
